Willie Charles Young, (known as Charles, Baby, Bruno, Spoon, Foo, Chill Will, One Hitter Quitter, Brother in law, PawPaw, and Uncle Charles) age 59, was called home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2018.
Willie was born in Longview, Texas on June 23, 1959 to Corine Combs. He was baptized at the early age of 12. Charles was reborn again and gave his life to Christ in 1996.
He attended elementary in Gladewater, Texas and later moved to Dallas, Texas. Willie made several transitions in high school attending Gladewater High School and later Dallas Kimball. Charles was an outstanding basketball player and loved the game of football. Which he was a much better basketball player. Charles attended Sul Ross University 1992-1994 majoring in Mathematics and Counselling.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Emma Young Henson and his Father Joe Combs. He leaves to cherish his memory: the love of his life wife Donna Young; his Mother; Corine Combs; (1) son; Donny Bishop Sr. and his wife Marie Bishop; (1) daughter; Ashley Edmonds and her husband Kevin Edmonds; grandchildren; Carlos Benevides, Donny Bishop Jr. (aka Scrub), Donavon (aka Donoman) Martinez, Jeremiah (aka Pants on Fire) Martinez, and (1) granddaughter Alexis Torres (aka White Girl); (2) great granddaughters; (1) brother DuWayne Young and his wife Jackie Young; (1) sister Sabrina Cox. Special Cousin/brother Von âBrunoâ Miller, Sr; (1) Special Great Aunt Della Johnson (2) Uncles Charles D. Young and Elder Larry Henson; (3) Aunts Florine Ennis, Dorothy Burrel, and Linda Henson; (3) Brother-in-laws Luther Morris, Tommy âTboneâ Bishop, and Don âJunebugâ Bishop; (3) nieces and (3) nephews; and host of other relatives, friends, and his beloved West Texas Force Basketball Family.
Charles was a dedicated truck driver to his employer E & A Welding & Oilfield Service, Inc. of Crane, Texas for 5 years.
