William "Bill" Richardson

William “Bill” Richardson, 77, of Crane, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, in Crane.

Bill was born on June 8, 1943, in Cimarron, NM. He married the love of his life, Sharon Kay Bates on March 28, 1961, in Raton, NM. Bill was a longtime resident of Crane and was a Christian.
He worked for 30 years well servicing and prior to his retirement he worked for Neighbors servicing trucks.
Bill spent much of his time outdoors working in his yard as well as feeding and watching birds. Bill loved spending time with his family and enjoyed sharing stories with the grandchildren about his life when he was younger.

Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Petree.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon Richardson of Crane; daughter, Danna Jo Treat and her husband Larry of Eunice, NM; two sisters, Doris Niner of Los Lunas, NM, and Faye Avila of Raton, NM; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery.
