Wayne Douglas Smith, 59 of Crane, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Crane, Texas. Services will be 10AM Wednesday at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane.
He was born September 26, 1958 in Nebraska. Wayne was many things in his life. He was a karate instructor, master chef, hair dresser, gardener, and a wood worker. His love for the art of karate transpired through his day to day life. He was very outgoing and had his own sense of humor. Loved to joke and loved to try to teach everyone karate moves, even in his older years. His passion for wood working showed through the pieces he would build, and he also loved to listen to music especially acoustic guitar. His love for food also was most obvious with his growing belly throughout the years, but he never let that stop him from his passion of cooking. Most of all he loved his children, his roommate, and his stray cats.
He is survived by his sons, Kyle Smith of Odessa, TX, Caleb Smith of Odessa, TX, daughter, Kaula Frazier of Odessa, TX, brothers, Daniel Smith, WD Smith, Wade Smith, and Robert Smith.
