Vivian Lawson

Vivian LaJuana (Jackson) Lawson

Our Precious Mama took her final breath on this earth & waltzed thru heavens Golden Gates, in the early morning hours of January 7, 2023.

Vivian was the firstborn child of 10 born to William Neil & Mary Lois (Pryor) Jackson, both deceased. She was born March 14th, 1939, in Artesia, NM, where she spent her younger years living. She married Thomas Elvin Evans, on May 16, 1954, they had three children together, before divorcing in 1969, Cheryl, Carol & Thomas Jr. (Bud). After her divorce she moved to Roswell, NM & began waitressing. There she met the love of her life, Theodore Colton (Ted) Brewer, they married in January of 1971. Ted passed on December 26, 1975. Vivian later moved to Odessa, TX to be closer to her children, she worked at K-Bobs Steak House until marrying Monroe Holladay & moving to McCamey, TX, where she spent the remainder of her life. She worked for the McCamey Hospital in the laundry dept for several years, before deciding to put herself through college, to become a LVN. After she completed her LVN, she worked for the McCamey Clinic until retiring. She loved her 3 kids, her 11 grandkids, Stefani, Garry, Mickey, Casey, Robert, Devon, Tommy, Tanya, Chrystal & LaCresia, her 20 great-grandkids, Damon, Raevon, Grady, Trista, Angeleah, Dustin, Brody, Abby, Mallory, Fancy, Laysie, Ryland, Caleb, Hailey, Ethan, Bryson, Brailey, Brooklyn, Gasper & Saira, her 8 great-great-grandkids, Kaitlynn, Ryan, Walker, Mylee, Rylan, Toby, Ella, & Brea. Mama loved her yard, her flower & vegetable gardening, her chickens, ducks & her trees.

Vivian lived a very full & happy life for 83 yrs & 10 months, she was a fun-loving woman, whom was loved by all lucky enough to meet her! Her smile was welcoming, loving & most always contagious, even as her health declined, after being bitten by a Black Widow Spider in 2015, she stayed optimistic her health would improve, so she'd be able to work in her beautiful yard, (her passion) yet this was not to happen. She began declining even more so in the past few years, there were many health factors to her death, but she was definitely prepared for this new journey, after life on earth. She said her goodbyes to us all & left us peacefully, once she was sure her furbabies would be okay, after she was gone. She loved her furbabies so very much, she left behind Ms. Daisy & Precious, her pups, Rowdy & Isabele, her shared pups, Little Bit & Baby Kitty, her cats, her numerous ducks & chickens. They will be well cared for by her daughter, Carol, Grandson & wife, Robert & Melissa in the same home they've always known. Her brothers & sisters share in our loss, Bill Jackson (deceased), Mary Alice Fritz, Joe Jackson, Louis Whitney, Jack Jackson, Sue Gould, Andy Jackson, Mitchell Jackson (deceased) & Ed Jackson. She had many nieces & nephews, so very many friends from over the years, all left to mourn her departure & rejoice her life & the memories she's left us with.

There is no memorial set at this time.
