“TC” Toribio C. Deanda, Jr. 78, of Crane, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. He was born on April 24, 1940 in Ft. Stockton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Toribio Deanda, Sr. in 1989; his mother, Dolores “Loly” Cuellar in 2011; and his sister, Corina Rivas in 1974.
TC was a retired truck driver for Western and for Trey Trucks. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Toribio is survived by his six children: Dorothy Deanda and her husband Monty King, Mary Acosta and her husband Frank Acosta, Toribio Deanda III, Johnny Deanda and his wife Lorie Granado Deanda, Dorinda Arroyos and her husband Johnny Arroyos, and Fabian Deanda and his wife Angela Vega Deanda. TC had five nieces and nephews that he raised as his children: Sylvia Rivas, Norma Carrasco, Nora Rivas, Felipe Rivas Jr., and Danny Rivas.
Also surviving are two sisters, Juanita “Lelo” Lazano, and Linda Velasquez and her husband Oscar, all of Crane.
He has a total of 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Shaffer Nichols Funeral Home in Crane, Texas. Mass will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Good Shepherd in Crane, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Ezekiel Ramirez, D.J. Rivas, Demetius Rivas, Osvaldo Huertas Jr., Jr. Deanda, Johnny Deanda, Fabian Deanda, and Jr. Pena.
