Tiburcia Luna Alvarado

Tiburcia Luna Alvarado, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother was called home to the Lord on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the young age of 95. She was born in Grandfalls, TX to Eliseo and Antonia Luna. She grew up in Mexico where she met the love of her life, Fermin. They were married for 56 years before his passing in 2003.

 She loved her family fiercely. When she wasn’t caring for her own children, you could find her at a sibling’s house spreading her love to her nieces and nephews. She loved to cook, bake and sew. She shared her love of food with her children, grandchildren and anyone who entered her home. She was known throughout the community as “Butch” due to her unique name. She will always be remembered for the way she led her life, with her strong Catholic faith and a generous heart.

 She is preceded in death by her husband Fermin Alvarado, her son Vicente Alvarado, her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Guadalupe and her sons Manuel, Elias and Oscar, as well as 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

 Viewing will begin on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Nichols Funeral Home, 1503 S Gaston Crane, TX from 2pm-9pm and continue from 9am-1pm on Friday, October 18, 2024.

 Rosary will be at 7pm on Thursday October 17, 2024 at Nichols Funeral Home in Crane, TX. Funeral Mass will begin at 2pm on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 722 S Burleson Ave, McCamey, TX with burial to follow.
