Tammie Kay (Green) Williford was born on December 20, 1965, in Hobbs, New Mexico and came home with her dad and mom on Christmas Eve. She left this life on December 28, 2011 at 46 years 8 days of age. She loved the Lord and her family. Where the family was, she was there also. Tammie had a servant's heart, always watching for who needed a cup of coffee or a smile. Tammie's smile would light up a room, and she shared that smile often with strong hugs. She was a 1984 graduate of Iraan High School. There she was a member in the marching band and had the privilege of winning the State Marching Contest and was in several One Act Plays as well.
Tammie married Jack Williford on December 13, 1986, and together they had Rachel Nicole, her pride and joy. She has one sister, Shannon Rosales. Tammie is survived by her daughter, Rachel Williford of San Antonio, TX., parents, Jess and Cindy Green of Iraan, TX., Joe and Shannon, Travis, Isabel, Anthony and Jonathon Rosales of San Angelo, and grandparents, Gene and Lois Green of San Angelo, Texas and Leslie and Nancy Langston of Roswell, New Mexico.
Tammie was an active member of both First Baptist Church in Iraan, and Glen Meadows Baptist Church in San Angelo. She was loved by her ladies bible study group and will be sorely missed. She often attended meetings with the Iraan Fire Department to show her support for the community.
Friends are welcome to visit the family at Shaffer Nichols Chapel, 301 South Drake, Iraan, TX.
