Susan âSusieâ Arabella Cunningham, of Magnolia, Texas was welcomed into the arms her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 3, 2016 after a long and hard battle with Leukemia.
Susie was born in Kerrville, Texas to Abe and Billie Morris on June 28th, 1954. She married the love of her life, Brian on May 17th, 1987. They spent most of their marriage in Crane, Texas where she worked for 12 years at Crane Memorial Hospital as a phlebotomist. After retiring from the hospital she followed in her families craft and passion, and started painting and decorating homes.
The joy that dwelled in her heart was the very joy of Jesus Christ. Her love for Him was strong and sure and anyone who knew her knows that. A constant prayer of hers was that Jesus Christ would use her to show His love to all she came in contact with. She served as a leader in the Crane First Baptist Church youth group for many years. Her testimony and life impacted the lives of many students for the better. One of Susieâs greatest gifts was the gift of hospitality, her door was always open for many meals and conversations to be shared. She hosted several small groups for youth and young adults inside her home, where she provided a safe place for many to hear the Truth of Godâs word and itâs purpose for their lives.
Susieâs love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and family was immeasurable. It seemed to be her driving force for every decision she made. One of her favorite things was being surrounded by her family, both immediate and extended, but mostly just with her grand babies. They were the center of her world. Susie was the person almost every family member sought for support and guidance. As a wife, daughter, mother, grandma/meemo, sister, aunt, and friend her impact on every life is beyond measure. She will be intensely missed. Her testimony and life will continue to bring glory to God through all the lives sheâs touched. To God be the glory!
She was preceded in death by her mother Billie Morris.
