Steve Pharaoh

October 11, 1930 — June 4, 2013

SV, Steve, Dad, Papa and Grandpa are names we use to describe our beloved Steve Pharaoh who was taken home to be with the Lord On Tuesday, June 4th. His 82 years were filled with devotion to his family and hard work. His life began out in the country in Garvin County Oklahoma. His parents were Lonnie and Nora Pharaoh. Their example is the reason Steve was the man he was. He began working for Warren Petroleum in Maysville, Oklahoma, but was soon transferred to the deserts of Crane, Texas. For 36 years he worked for Warren, Gulf and finally Chevron.
In 1951 he met and married Betty Russell. They celebrated 62 years together on April 14th of this year. Betty and Steve have 3 sons Mike, Rick and David. Their family life consisted of fun, family visits to Oklahoma, camping trips and instilling their work ethic in their sons. Their family of 5 grew over the years to 25. They love each one of them.
Steve is survived by his wife Betty. Mike and wife Buffy live in Pecos. Rick and wife Mary live in Odessa. David and wife Kathylin live in Houston. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Stefanie Pharaoh Graham and husband Tye, Kristin Pharaoh Pike and husband Chris, Katie Pharaoh Sharp and husband Darren, Rachel Pharaoh, Kimberly Pharaoh, Stacy Pharaoh Mason and husband John Allen and Luke Pharaoh. Steve and Betty were also blessed with 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that they love dearly. He is survived by one sister, Fannie Mae Stansbury of Lindsey, Oklahoma. His parents preceded him in death as well as 3 brothers and one sister. He was also preceded in death by his father in law and mother in law, Bell and Leroy Russell.
