Samuel C. âSammyâ Granado, 60, of McCamey, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at his home.
Rosary will be said at 7pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, November 2, 2018, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of McCamey.
Sammy was born on July 14, 1958, in McCamey. He was a longtime resident of McCamey and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking outdoors, and watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Sammy was one to always make people laugh. He was the life of the party. Sammy loved his family, his grandkids, and most of all his wife, Dawn.
Sammy was preceded by his parents, Apolonio and Maria Granado; his brothers Frank Granado, Amador Granado, Robert Granado, and Noe Granado; sisters, Esther and Emma Granado; and two nephews, Nicholas Robert Granado, and Ralph Granado.
Sammy is survived by his loving wife Dawn Granado of McCamey; his children, Adrian Granado of San Antonio, Samantha Granado of McCamey, Dustin Cottrell of Colorado, and Amber Cottrell of Washington; two sisters, Rachel Garcia and Norma Catano; one brother, Billy Garza; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
