Samuel F. "Sammy" Martinez

Samuel F. “Sammy” Martinez, 36, of McCamey, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

Sammy was born on February 3, 1983, in Iraan. He had lived in McCamey all his life. He was a Supervisor for Basic Energy Services.
Sammy loved horses, going fishing, shooting guns, but most of all spending time with his children and family. Sammy was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey.

Sammy was preceded in death by his infant sister, Velma Martinez; and his father, Ector Martinez, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Manuela Martinez of McCamey; son, Adrian Martinez; and daughter, Aspen Martinez, both of Crane; two brothers, Ector Martinez, Jr. and his wife Joshua Ann of San Antonio, and Albert Martinez of McCamey; his sister, Diana Martinez Graves and her husband Blake of McCamey; three nephews, Boston Martinez, Gavin Montoya, and Giovanni Montoya; niece, Seraphina Martinez; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
