Sam Jackson, 63 of Rankin, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Midland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Rankin with Reverend Matt Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Rankin Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Sam was born on April 30, 1948 in Seward, Alaska. He has lived in Rankin for 31 years. He retired from the Texas Highway Department; and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rankin. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hayes Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Janna Jackson of Rankin; his son, Hayes Jackson and his wife Jonea of Rankin; his granddaughter, Taight Jackson of Rankin; and his mother, Ann Jackson of Cordova, Alaska.
