Sally Rodriguez, 51, of Crane, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Rosary will be said at 7:00pm on Friday, September 12, 2014, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery.
Sally was born on December 8, 1962, in Pecos, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Crane. Sally married Pete Rodriguez on June 11, 1979, in Crane. She and Pete loved riding together on their motorcycle. Sally was a wonderful baker and loved baking for her family. She had worked for the Crane and McCamey Hospitals as a Dietary Supervisor. The most important thing to Sally was spending time with her family. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Medardo and Luciana Mendoza; her twin sons, Pete and Paul Rodriguez; and a brother, Johnny Mendoza, and a grandson, Gabriel Betencourt.
Sally is survived by her husband Pete Rodriguez Jr. of Crane; three daughters, Gabbie Velasquez and her husband Michael D., Leslie Thurman and her husband Darren, and Alissa Rodriguez and her husband Josh Dziedzic, all of Odessa; three sisters, Mary Villegas, Eduvina Gonzales, and Neomà Chávez, all of Crane; and three grandchildren, Kaleb Lozano, Zoe Dziedzic, and Benjamin Dziedzic, all of Odessa.
