Ross Trammell

Ross Trammell was born March 4, 1942, in Tolar, Texas to George Franklin Trammell and Mittie Zell Wagner Trammell. He left this world on Monday, September 2, 2024, to join loved ones who have gone on before.

Ross loved the Lord and knew the Word well. He enjoyed to worship in Spanish. His most loved scripture was “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8. Jesucristo es el mismo ayer, y hoy, y por los siglos. Hebreos 13:8

Ross was preceded in death by his wife, Delfina Trammell; his parents George Franklin and Mittie Zell Trammell; and his brother Leonard Trammell.

He is survived by his sister Julia Davis of Odessa, TX; niece Debra Chastain and husband Gary of Odessa; nephew Dennis Athey and wife Beverly of Livingston, TX; stepson Robert G. Martinez and his wife Alma of McCamey; grandson Jason Martinez and wife Kirsten of Killeen, TX; granddaughter Angelica Gomez and husband Rolando of McCamey; great granddaughters Cierra Martinez of San Antonio, TX and Chloe Gomez of Tuscaloosa, AL; stepdaughter Sandra Gonzales and husband Apolonio of Rankin, TX; grandchildren Sarah Reams and Joshua Johnson; stepson Louis Martinez and wife Maria of Odessa, TX; grandchildren Elizabeth Ibarra and husband Richard, Brenda Lopez and husband Ray, and Linda Martinez; all of Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Christ Love Fellowship Church in McCamey. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.
