Rose Ann Norwood

Rose Ann Norwood, 68, of Odessa, and formerly of McCamey, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, in Midland.

Rose was born on October 25, 1954, in McCamey, Texas.  She was a longtime resident of McCamey.  Rose retired from Chevron having worked as a planner and scheduler. She loved reading romance novels and spending time with her family. Rose was a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Cecilia Rodriguez; two sisters, Alice Corrales Sowells and Juanita Rios.

Rose is survived by her son, Steven Ashmore of McCamey; her daughter, April Ashmore of Monahans; two brothers, Philip Corrales and Angel Corrales, both of McCamey; four sisters, Gloria Ramirez and Mary Ann Valincano both of Odessa, Anita Hernandez and Lisa Solis, both of Crane; four grandchildren, Joshua Ashmore, Jazmine Ashmore, Jaye Ashmore, and Allison Ashmore; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 9:00am until 1:30pm at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey.  Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm at the Resthaven Cemetery.
