Rosa Galan, 81, of McCamey, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, in Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.
Rosa was born on January 1, 1940, in Pecos, Texas. She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of McCamey. Rosa was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending all their sporting events.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Jubentino Galan; her son, Sammy Galan; three daughters, Kathy Delgado, Gracie Galan, and Sophie Esparza; and nine grandchildren.
She is survived by seven sons, Tino Galan Jr. of Tulia, Frank Galan of McCamey, Bobby Galan of Dallas, Rudy Galan of Houston, Oscar Galan of Tulia, Jesse Galan of Del Rio, and John Galan of McCamey; two daughters, Ruby Galan of McCamey, and Maria Galan of Odessa; two brothers, Lionel Sosa of Happy, TX, and David Sosa of Tulia; three sisters, Delia Chapa and Luisa Rodriguez both of Tulia, and Irene Martinez of Amarillo; 86 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren and nieces nephews.
