Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Bearden, 67, of Iraan, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Iraan General Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Western Hills United Methodist Church in Fort Worth with Raul Gutierrez officiating. His ashes will be scattered at 11am on Monday, April 8, 2013, by the pond on the 5th green at the Iraan Golf Course. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane, TX.
Ronnie was born on August 16, 1945, in Fort Worth, Texas to L.E. and Polly Bearden. He served in the Navy on the USS Thomaston, being honorably discharged on October 22, 1964. Ronnie was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School, TCU, and Texas Wesleyan. Ronnie retired from McCurdy Oil Company as a field supervisor. He was a longtime resident of Iraan. Ronnie loved to play golf and shoot darts. He had a passion for learning and never stopped. He loved to read and study. Ronnie was a family man and loved his family very much.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline "Polly" Bearden, and his infant brother.
He is survived by his two daughters, Wendy Clay and her husband David of Benbrook, TX and Ronda Fellingham and her husband Lincoln of North Richland Hills, TX; a son, Larry Bearden of Bedford, TX; his father, L.E. Bearden, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; his sister, Diane Harvey and her husband Paul Jr. of Quanah, TX; and 5 grandchildren.
