William Roger Stafford, 82, of Rankin, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in San Angelo.
Roger was born on October 4, 1932, in Spur, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Rankin, living here since 1974. Roger served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1954. He retired from Halliburton as a field supervisor. Roger enjoyed wood working as a hobby; and he was a Mason. Roger was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rankin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.R. and Lela Stafford; his loving wife, Zelma on July 14, 2012; his son Keith on March 2, 2013; and his brother, Paul Stafford.
Survivors include one son, Randy Stafford of Ocala, FL; sister in law, Helen Stafford; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Roger is also survived by a very close and dear friend he always referred to as âKidâ, Jamie Bingham of Big Spring; and his best friend, his loving dog, Molly.
