Robin Kathleen Simmons Courtney, moved to Heaven on June 19, 2024, at the home of her sister, Karen Simmons Lindsey, in Odessa.
Robin was born to Alvin Lee Simmons and Martha Ruth Van Zile Simmons on September 16, 1962. She had lived in Crane most of the time since she was in the sixth grade.
Robin enjoyed doing things for others and being a help and blessing to many. In the last few years she enjoyed helping with the Crane Food Bank and 4 Days for Others and other such projects.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Courtney, her father, Alvin Simmons, and her step-father, Jesse Perritt.
Robin was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Rankin where her mother, Martha Simmons Perritt is the Pastor. She faithfully drove to Rankin every Sunday for services when she was able.
Along with many friends who will miss her greatly is her remaining immediate family. Her mother, Martha Simmons Perritt; her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Walter Lindsey; her brother and sister-in-law, Bucky and Cheryl Simmons; her niece and family, Kayla and Mark Harding and Mason and Cameron, and her niece Kara Lindsey. Many friends and cousins, aunts, and uncles from Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas will think of her often and wish she were still here with us.
Her funeral will be graveside on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the Crane County Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
