Reba Gertrude Preslar passed away September 30, 2008. She was born April 10, 1916 in Taylor County, TX to George Walter and Mary Wilma (Parnell) Burton. She married William C. (Bill) Preslar on December 23, 1935 in Tuscola, TX. She was a resident of Crane for over 70 years.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in May of 1999, also by a son, Walter Ray in 1942. She is survived by her two sons, William C. Preslar, Jr. and his wife Floy of Penn Valley, CA, and Jim Preslar and his wife Glena of Crane; and five grandchildren, Kim Lawson and husband Jimmy of Port Isabel, TX, James Preslar, II of Midland, TX, Lisa Neff and husband Brad of Lake Oswego, OR, Theresa Preslar of Roseville, CA, and Katrina Read and husband Harry of Rancho Mirage, CA; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Selman of Lovington, NM.

Reba worked for many years in the food and retail industry in Crane. Funeral services will be at the First United Methodist Church on Friday, October 3rd, at 11:00 AM with Reverend Blaine Wimberly officiating, with burial to follow in the Crane County Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols funeral home.
