Raymundo Ybarra Velasquez, 61, of Iraan, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019, in Iraan.
Ray was born on February 27, 1958, in Sheffield, Texas. He had lived in Pecos County all his life. Ray was an avid golfer and enjoyed countless hours with friends on the golf course. He enjoyed work and was always busy. He was a pipeline consultant for Kinder-Morgan. Ray was an excellent provider for his family and loved spending time with his wife and kids.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and adopted parents, Teresa and Antonia Ybarra, Patricio M. and Crecencia Velasquez; his siblings, Julia Palmer, Lionel Ybarra, Cruz Rodriguez, David Ybarra, Antonia Ybarra, Esperanza Flores, Robert Ybarra, Alicia Burton, Antonio Ybarra, Diana Anguiano, and Daniel Ybarra.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jaqueline Velasquez of Iraan; sons, Brody Evans, Dillan Evans, and Brylan Evans, all of Iraan; daughters, Skylar Evans, Shiloh Evans, and Presley Evans, all of Iraan; step son, Marty Russell and his wife Robin of Big Lake; step daughter, Katrina Harper of Fort Worth; brothers, Armando Ybarra of Ozona, Richard Ybarra of San Angelo, and Manuel Ybarra of Fredericksburg; sisters, Thelma Calzada and husband Alfredo of Sanderson, Delia Hernandez and husband Juan of Ozona, and Irma Ybarra of Sheffield; four grandchildren, Sarah Tekulve of Seattle Washington, Ethan Harper of Fort Worth, Parker Russell of San Antonio, and Hayden Russell of San Marcos, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Iraan Civic Center.
