ODESSA: Peggie M. Williams, 83 of Odessa, passed away on July 18, 2010 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
She was born in Ranger, Texas on November 8, 1926. Her parents were Andrew P. and Winney F. Bradford Mayers of Strawn, Texas.
She married Louis R. Williams on May 7, 1946 of Abilene, Texas. Peggie was a cashier for Kimbel Abilene wholesale grocery. She was a homemaker and interior decorator and owned her own business. She became an Enrolled Agent for the Internal Revenue Service and operated her own business (Mobile Tax Services).
For 20 years, she worked in the tax service business with 15 years representing clients before the IRS and prepared complex returns.
A family visitation will be at the Crescent Park Church of Christ in Odessa at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Crane County Cemetery with Minister Dale Garrison officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Peggie is survived by her husband; many nieces; nephews; and many friends. Memorials can be given to the American Heart Association.
