McCAMEY: Pedro T. Gomez, Sr. 80 of McCamey, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at his home in McCamey.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey with Father Laurent officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mr. Gomez was born on May 29, 1928 in Pecos, Texas. He was a laborer, and a longtime resident of McCamey. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr. Gomez was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Anthony Gomez and Pedro Gomez, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Porfidia Gomez of McCamey; four sons, Jessie Gomez, Joe Gomez, and J.J. Gomez, all of McCamey, and Paul Martinez of Big Spring; two daughter, Mary Ramirez and Lesa Gomez both of McCamey; 15 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
