Paul Darrell Swan

Paul Darrell Swan, 79, of Odessa, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
As per Paul's request, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Paul was born on March 28, 1932, in Dewey, Oklahoma. He moved to Odessa in 1954. Soon after, he was drafted into the Army in July of 1955 and served until July of 1957. Paul was a graduate of North Texas State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Library Science, and he also achieved two Masters Degrees in the same field. Paul was a retired Librarian from Fannin Elementary School, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed playing bridge at the Senior Citizens and also at Lincoln Towers. Paul was also an avid reader, and he enjoyed having coffee at Pojos.
He is survived by his lifetime friend, Ronnie Chambers of Odessa; and his sister, Virginia Taylor of Kansas.
