Patricia Harrelson, 80, of Crane, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Crane Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Crane with Reverend Blaine Wimberly officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Williams, Ray Bland, Alan Swinford, Joe Henderson, Steve Hollifield, Jr. and Jerry Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Patricia was born on August 8, 1931 in Wallace, Arkansas to Warner and Lummie Beard. She married Fred G. Harrelson on June 20, 1953 in Foreman, Arkansas.
Patricia was an educator for 38 years. She taught school in Clarksville for two years; and in Crane for the remainder of her teaching career, retiring in 1989. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church; the Retired Teachers Association; and the Delta Kappa Gamma. Patricia enjoyed traveling, and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Fred Harrelson of Crane; her daughter Deborah Taylor and her husband Randall of Midland; her son, Kim Harrelson and his wife Laurie of Crane; five grandchildren, Kyndall Easterling, Hannah Taylor, Rance Taylor, Cody Bob Harrelson, and Sarah Harrelson.
