Pansy Nell Smart

Pansy Nell Smart our loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend was called to her eternal home by our Lord on Monday, November 28, 2022.  She was born on June 26, 1940, in Caddo, Stevens County, Texas to Herman and Laura Kennedy whom have preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Smart; son, Billy Ray Smart; grandson Michael Ray Mendoza; siblings, Tiny Deubler, Clayton, Neal, Weldon, and Floyd Kennedy; and son-in-law Julio César Ruiz.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Kim) Smart, three daughters, Cathy (Ronnie) Ervine, Lanelle (Yancey) Stephens, Miranda K. (Julio César †) Ruiz; six grandchildren, Julie (Kyle)  Hutson, Jana Smart,  Ovidio Mendoza, Jr., Billy Frank (Lillie) Mendoza, Kevin (Cindy) Smart, and Davon (Stephanie) Smart; fourteen great­ grandchildren, Elijah, McKayla, Aalyiah, Ahdan, Aamyiah, Isaac (Priscilla), Ivy (Dylan), Ivan, Delilah, Henry, Samuel, Olive,  Brazen Hawk  and  Charlotte;  three great-great­grandchildren, Delilah, Ariella, Zariyan, andnumerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pansy never went anywhere without making a friend. We will all remember her for her love of music, dancing and having a good laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Graveside services will be held on December 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Restland Cemetery, Iraan, Texas.
