Ofelia White Rodriguez, 80, of Sabinal and formerly of Sheffield, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020, in Sonora.
Ofelia was born on March 5, 1940, in Fort Stockton, Texas. She had lived in Sabinal for the past 15 years, moving there from Sheffield.
She was a hard worker – always keeping busy working in her yard, gardening, or cooking. She was awarded Yard of the Week two times for having such a beautiful yard. Ofelia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ofelia was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Braulia White; her husband, Raymon Rodriguez; son, Mark Rodriguez; brothers, Fidel White and Rafael White; and three grandchildren, Octavico Guadalupe and Santigo Ramon Lopez, and Abigail Sloan Adams.
She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Kenneth Robbins of Sabinal; four sons, Dimas Rodriguez, Noe Rodriguez, and Carlos Rodriguez, all of Sheffield, and Abel Rodriguez of Iraan; four daughters, Sylvia Espino of Fort Stockton, Alicia Mendoza of Iraan, Celia Lopez of Sheffield, and Esmie Morin of Sonora; three brothers, David White of Odessa, Santiago White and Elias White, both of Borger; three sisters, Alicia Rodriguez, and Oralia Rodriguez, both of Borger, and Elia Lujan of Amarillo; 29 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Sheffield Cemetery with Pastor Eric Bayer officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
