NORMAN CLYDE YOCHAM
RANKIN: Norman Clyde Yocham passed away on September 17, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
Norman was born in Rankin, Texas on 1-1-34.
He was raised in Quamado in his early years. He graduated from Rankin High School in 1953. In Norman's Jr. Year of high school he was the leading football scorer and touchdowns leader throughout the United States. He later played one year college football at Texas A & M.
Norman is survived by two brothers and their wives, Jim and Modene, of Rankin and Biff and Judi, of Houston and sister in law Mary Alice of Midland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Charlotte Yocham of Rankin and one brother, Pat of Midland.
A graveside service will held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Rankin Cemetery.
Norman led a very active career life which consisted of farming in Quamado, TX. and working in a saw mill industry in Arkansas. Most of his career was spent working for oil field companies as a welder in Houston and San Angelo. He retired to his home town of Rankin.
