Nelson Collier, 78, of Fort Stockton, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton with Reverend Robert Mitchell officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Nelson was born on August 22, 1933 in Paragould, Arkansas. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force with over 20 years of service. He then worked for Wilson Supply, retiring there as well. He had lived in Fort Stockton since 1979, and he loved to travel.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Irene Hensley Collier; and two sisters, Ann Sanders and Joyce Speegle.
He is survived by four sisters, Virginia Randall of Hampton VA, Linda Duncan of Fort Stockton, Sharon Dukes of Athens, Alabama, and Janiene Holtzman of Levelland; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
