Mildred P. Marquez

Mildred P Marquez, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 75 surrounded by her Kids and grandkids. She was born on August 4, 1948, in Buras, LA, and most recently resided in McCamey, TX. 

Mildred's greatest joy in life was spending time with her adoring grandkids. She treasured every moment with them, cherishing the love and laughter they shared. A true nature enthusiast, Mildred's heart was drawn to anything that involved water. Whether it was a peaceful beach or a serene lake, she found solace and tranquility surrounded by the beauty of nature. 

Mildred lived her life by a simple motto - "I love my kids and grandkids to the moon and stars and back." It exemplified her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She was a caring and nurturing mother, always there to provide guidance and support to her children and grandchildren. Mildred was married to the love of her life, Luis Marquez, sharing countless years of happiness and memories together. They were a pillar of strength for one another, demonstrating the power of love and commitment. 

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Luis Marquez, Parents Jessie and Sandiland Gregory. Brothers, Larry Gregory, Frank Gregory, David Gregory, Buddy Gregory and Stanley Gregory.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Daughter Rula Medina of Rankin and her kids, Laken Marquez, Kaylee Acosta, John Luman, Hayden Luman; Son James Marquez of Odessa and his kids, Alexia Zuniga, Aubree Marquez, and Adriana Marquez; and Son Miguel Silva of Houston, TX. Her sisters Gene Gregory, Nancy Ferracci, Ann Gregory and Brother Ben Gregory. 

Mildred P Marquez will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and boundless love will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
