The world lost one of it's most vibrant and life loving angels. Mikie Garrison Kelly, 78 of Odessa, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 19th. She was born August 1, 1939 in San Angelo, Texas to Willie and Ruby Garrison. Mikie grew up in Iraan, Texas before obtaining her Bachelors Degree in English from Sul Ross State University and her Master of English at Texas A&M University where she met the love of her life.
Mikie enjoyed 53 wonderful years married to her husband and best friend Frank Randolph (Randy) Kelly. She loved the theatre, performing in the theatre, home decorating, gardening, playing the piano and shopping with her family. She was very outgoing and always the star of the show.
Mikie is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Ruby Garrison, brother Corbie Patrick Garrison, and son Frank Michael Kelly. Mikie is survived by her husband Randy of Odessa, Texas, son Todd and wife Cindy Bausch of Iraan, Texas, daughter Jaide and husband Bob Hazelwood of Iraan, Texas, daughter Lacy and husband Charles (Booger) Brooks of San Angelo, Texas, daughter Tave and husband Matt Muehlstein of Abilene, Texas and daughter in law Nikki Kelly of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of whom she loved with all her heart.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 9 am to 8 pm at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in Crane, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Restland Cemetery in Iraan, Texas. Visitation will also be available prior to the service. Tributes may be made through the Flower shop in Crane or by making a donation in Mikie Kelly's name to the charity of your choice.
