Miguel Murguia

Miguel Murguia, 84, of Crane, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, at the Focus Care Nursing Center in Crane.

Miguel was born on May 8, 1939, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He was a retired farmer and a longtime resident of Crane, living here 35 years.

Miguel was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  He loved old antique cars and pickups. Miguel cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Maria de Jesus Murguia; his wife, Maria Elena Murguia; and a sister, Esperanza Murguia.

Miguel is survived by his three sons, Michael Murguia and his wife Antonia, and Jaime Murguia, all of Crane, and Lindolfo Murguia of Mexico; his siblings, Delia Murguia, Eliodoro Murguia, Jesus Murguia, Andres Murguia, Onofre Murguia, and Benjamin Murguia, all of Crane, Salvador Murguia, Josefina Murguia, and Efren Murguia, all of Mexico; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, from 9am to 9pm at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in Crane with Rosary being held at 7pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
