MERCEDES MORENO
CRANE: Mercedes Moreno, 84 of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2009 in the Crane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Rosary/Wake services will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Mrs. Moreno was born on September 20, 1925 in Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church. She had lived in Odessa for 14 years.
She is survived by ten daughters, Sara Carrasco of Pecos, Socorro Ramirez, Reynalda Martinez, Raquel Valenzuela, and Paula Zuniga all of Odessa, Enedilia Olivas of Ojinaga, Guadalupe Rojas of Kanas, Martina Rodriguez and Maria Pina, both of San Antonio, and Alicia Vera of Colorado Springs; three sons, Paulo Baeza of Odessa, Esteban Baeza of Artesia, NM, and Oscar Moreno of Ojinaga; two brothers, Enrique Salazar of Presidio, and Dulces Nombres Salazar of San Angelo; 40 Grandchildren; and 54 Great-Grandchildren.
