Hazel Marzena Bellamy, better known as Marzena Kirkfield formerly of Sheffield passed into eternal life on Friday February 3rd peacefully in her home in Iraan. She was 74.
Marzena, the youngest of five was born April 24th 1949 in Church Hill Tennessee. She lived most of her childhood in Kingsport Tennessee before moving to El Paso Texas in 1967. After a brief amount of time, it is there, that she found her soulmate, Army Pfc. Fred Wayne Kirkfield. Marzena would say, they met in front of the church, were engaged behind the church and got married in the church the young couple were members of. Upon Wayne's discharge from the army, they began their life in the service station business in Rockdale, Texas. While traveling to visit El Paso throughout the years, Sheffield, Texas always stuck out to Wayne and Marzena, so they made it their home in 1973.
They raised their 3 daughters here, were made grandparents for the first time in 1986 and even great grandparents in 2011. It is without a question that all 8 of their spoiled rotten grandchildren and their 7
great grandchildren were the light of their lives and received a love that cannot be matched.
Marzena is preceded in death by her beloved Husband Fred Kirkfield. Parents, Harry and Sally Bellamy, sister Elvie Bellamy, special brother-in-law "Red" Clark and Henry Crank. Son- in- laws Fred Johnson, Mario Delgado and Rick Mooney.
She is survived by sisters Helen Crank of El Paso, Tx and Mary Kate Clark of Morganton, N.C. Brothers, George Edward Bellamy and wife Linda of Kingsport TN, and John Bellamy and wife Nancy of Baycliff, Tx. Daughters Latisha Delgado and Malissa Mooney of Sheffield, Tx, and Vanessa Smith of Iraan, Tx. Son in law Manuel Ybarra of Iraan, Tx. Grandchildren Casey , Brandon, Skylar and Nicholas Delgado. We would also like to extend our most heartfelt gratitude to the Pecos county sheriff's office and Pecos county EMS, as well as the Iraan-Sheffield community.
