Mary Rodriguez

September 10, 1934 — August 22, 2013

Mary Rodriguez, 78, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at the Crane Care Center from a massive stroke that she suffered on June 5, 2013. She was a longtime resident of Iraan, Texas. Mary was the oldest of 11 children born to Anita and Felipe Sr. Rivas.

A woman of Faith, she has merely gone Home to be with her Heavenly Father and His many Angels.

Waiting to greet her in Glory are her husband, Loy Rodriguez; her parents, Felipe Sr. and Anita Rivas; her sisters, Della and Lupe; her brothers, Felipe Jr. and Freddie; plus a nephew, David Elguea and niece, Hope Gonzales.

She will be sadly missed and loving remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Martin Nieto; her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Sharon Rodriguez; and her beloved grandchildren, Caleb, Carmyn, and Cole.

From Heaven she will continue to watch over us and her extended family; her sisters, Anita, Gloria, Janie and Susie; her brothers, Nick, Joe, and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her many beloved "kids" that she raised through these many years, they are too many to list here, but you know who you are.

Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever dear.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Iraan, Texas with Reverend Jimmy Heath officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Cemetery in Iraan.
