Mary Bel Holguin

Mary Bel Holguin passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday April 4, 2023. She was born on July 27, 1969, to Leopoldo & Teresa Tarin in Crane Tx.

On February 14, 2005, Mary married the love of her life Leonard Holguin. They were together for 20 years & married for 18. They enjoyed traveling, camping, shopping at antique stores and being in each other’s company.

Mary worked for CISD for 12 years. She always said the best part of her job was being around children. Anyone who knew her knew her love for arts and crafts, she always made sure that everything around her was decorated so beautifully. Baking was something that she truly enjoyed; she was always trying out new recipes. More than anything Mary loved being a grandmother "Mimi" is what her grandkids call her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Teresa Tarin, brothers Noel & Joel Tarin.

Mary is survived by her husband Leonard Holguin; daughters, Miranda and husband Brian, Anastasia, James; stepchildren, Jonathan and wife Erica, Josie and wife Khristen, Gabby and Michael. Sisters, Susie and husband Michael, Melinda and husband Francisco, Belinda and husband Mauro; Brothers, Leopoldo, William and wife Edelmira, George and wife Janie.

Grandchildren, Amriel, Acenn, Evangeline, Adalynn, Rhylynn, Ana, Noah, Belle, Mariah, Payton, Aiden and Peyton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation times will be Sunday, April 9, 2023, from 2pm-8pm, Monday, April 10, from 9am-9pm and Tuesday, April 11, from 9am-2pm. Rosary will be held Monday April 10, at 7pm at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home and chapel in Crane. Funeral mass will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Good Sheppard Catholic Church in Crane. Burial will follow at the Crane County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Lem, Michael Holguin, Alfredo Garza, Paquito Zuniga, Adrian Tarin, and Jose Tarin.
