MARGARITA SALINAS
CRANE: Margarita Salinas, 84 of Crane, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Crane Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Mvondo Laurent officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Mrs. Salinas was born on June 10, 1926 in Rio Hondo, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She had lived in Crane for the past 8 years, moving here from Austin.
Mrs. Salinas is survived by four daughters, Delia Martinez, Diana Garcia, and Norma Alonzo all of Crane, and Rosa Marquez of Austin; two sons, Robert Salinas Jr. of Austin, and Eugene Salinas of Crane; three sisters, Angelica Rodriguez of California, Carmen Guzman of Snyder, and Dominga Castilla of Crane; and two brothers, Canuto Rivera and Joe Rivera, both of San Benito, TX; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
