MAE L. BLACK
CRANE: Mae L. Black, 90 of Crane, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008 at the Baptist Memorials Nursing Center in San Angelo.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Crane County Cemetery with Reverend Homer Walker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mrs. Black was born on November 17, 1917 in Comanche County, Texas. She was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Black on June 5, 1983; and her son, Charles R. Black on September 16, 1993; as well as 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Nikki Nichole Baker of San Angelo, and Brandy Leigh Quigley of San Antonio; 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Lighthouse for the blind, or a charity of ones choice.
