Luis Mariano Arias was born on Friday, March 12, 1954 in Santander Jimenez, Tamaulipas. He was born to Manuela Montes and Nicolas Arias. He fell asleep in death on Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at the age of 66.
On April 2, 1974 he married Maria Elena, who survives him. They were married for 47 years. He is also survived by daughter Aidee Gonzalez and husband Eli Gonzalez, daughter Maria Ramirez and husband Ramiro Ramirez, Jr., and his son Julio Cesar Arias. Luis is also survived by his grandchildren Ramiro Ramirez, III (Tre’), Caleb A. Ramirez, Elena R. Gonzalez, Zayra Flores, Sara Flores, Mariana Flores, Elsa Flores and two great grandchildren, Sofia and Carolina. He is also survived by his sister Norma Arias de Silguero and numerous nieces and nephews.
He resided in McCamey, TX most of his life. His greatest accomplishment was being a grandfather. He considered himself extremely fortunate and loved his grandchildren with all his heart. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his family, and caring for his animals. He took pride in providing endless pony rides for his grandkids and in everything they did. He was an excellent example of love, great work ethic and overcoming obstacles.
He is preceded in death by his mother Manuela Montes and his sister Emma Rosa Arias de Teran.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm via zoom.
