McCAMEY: Doris Lucille Steele, 89 of McCamey, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Odessa Regional Medical Center.
Services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mrs. Steele was born on April 1, 1919 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, L C Steele, Jr.
She is survived by her three daughters, Peggy Jayne Parker of Bellevue, Washington, Mary Elizabeth Breland of Carriere, Mississippi, and Dayna Louise Elam of McCamey; 8 grandchildren, Brit Briggs, Lana Perry, Meloni Briggs, Corey Parker, Kris Lasseigne, Kaci Portier, Jason Lowe, and James Elam; 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
