LINDA J. EDWARDS
CRANE: Linda J. Edwards, 63 of Crane, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Reverend Lyndel Lee, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Linda was born on October 11, 1945 in Big Spring, Texas. She married James B. Edwards on May 12, 1962 in Mexico. Linda had lived in Crane for 47 years; and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. She retired from the Crane ISD as the assistant manager of the cafeteria. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Imogene Petree.
Survivors include her husband James B. Edwards of Crane; one son, Robert Edwards and his wife Jana of Crane; a daughter, Penny Mason and her husband Jeff of Katy; a brother, Bob Petree and his wife Chris of Crane, and Wilburn Petree and his wife June of Levelland; five grandchildren, Jeremy Mason of Katy, Taylor Edwards of Fairfield, Dustin Allaire of Crane, and Danielle and Delaney Dominguez both of Crane; and numerous nieces and nephews.
