Lillie I. Myers, 90, of McCamey, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, in Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey with Reverend Joe Terry, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Lillie was born on January 15, 1928, in Peacock, Texas. She had lived in McCamey since 1946. She was a retired custodian for the McCamey ISD. Lillie was a member of the South Union Baptist Church.
Lillie loved her family, but her grandchildren were her everything. She was a blessing to many and enjoyed sharing her love with the many letters she wrote through the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Myers; her son, Eugene Myers; and 10 siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Glenda Walker and her husband Raymond of Odessa; her sister, Mae Francis Thornton of California; a special nephew, Mackie Myers of McCamey; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
