Leon Wayne "Pawd" Hicks

Leon Wayne “Pawd” Hicks, 81, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at the Parks Retirement Village in Odessa.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Crane with Pastor Tim King officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Wayne was born on November 20, 1937, in London, Texas. He was retired and had spent most of working career in the oilfield.
He loved fishing, hunting, and playing golf.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Loma Hicks; his sister, Paula Clements; and his son, Rusty Hicks.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Hicks of Midland; his son, Randy Hicks and his wife Hettie of Seminole; two daughters, Debbie Jones and her husband Rick of Van, TX, Donna Roussarie and her husband Rodney of Midland; two brothers, Bobby Hicks of Fredericksburg, and Billy Hicks of Junction; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
