RANKIN: Leon Henry Feuge, 83, of Rankin, passed away in the Rankin County Hospital on Monday, August 18, 2008.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2008, in the Rankin Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer Nichols Funeral Home.
Leon was born in Harper, Texas, on October 2, 1924, to Felix and Minnie Wendell Feuge. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. On August 16, 1952, he married the love of his life Charline Pate in Glen Rose, Texas. They moved to Rankin in 1960. Leon worked as the hospital administrator at the Rankin County Hospital until his retirement.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gehrig Fuege on June 16, 1980; and a daughter, Evelyn C. Badgett on June 17, 1997.
Leon is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Charline Fuege of Rankin; a son Carl Fuege of Midland; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
