LEON BARRETT
CRANE: Leon Barrett, 67 of Crane, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 in the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane with Father Laurent officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mr. Barrett was born on July 25, 1941 in Brackettville, Texas. He was a retired carpet layer, and had lived in Crane for over 20 years. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Leon was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Barrett.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Barrett of Crane; two sons, George Barrett of Philadelphia, PA, and Daniel Walker of Nederland, TX; two daughters, Maria Barrett of Philadelphia, PA and Kimberly Walker of Port Arthur, TX; two brothers, Paul Castagna and Frank Castagna, both of Philadelphia, PA; and 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
