CRANE: Kenneth Ray Rankin,50 of Crane passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2008 in the Crane Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Crane with Reverend John Swedlund officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Kenneth was born on July 11, 1957 in Brownwood, Texas. He was a oil producer; and had lived in Crane for the past 3 years, moving from Grandfalls. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.A. and Gladys Rankin; and a son, Derek Rankin.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Rankin of Crane; a son, Jared Rankin and his wife Neala of Crane; two daughters, Jodi Davis and her husband, Brian of Crane, and Kimberly Johannesen and her husband Jason of Albany, OR; two brothers, Donald Rankin, and Charles Rankin both of Brownwood; two sisters, Dorothy Moore of Dallas, and Melva D. Grumbles of Georgetown; and seven grandchildren: Bryan, Trevor, Kristen, Derek Michael, Jared, Brody, and Aviann.
