Kenneth Cowen (K.C.)

Kenneth "K.C." Cowen, 67, of Rankin, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 in Odessa Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Chamber of Commerce Building in Rankin with Reverend Dickie Means officiating. Burial will follow in the Rankin Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Kenneth was born on April 19, 1944, in McCamey, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Rankin; and had worked in the oilfield. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles R. Cowen on December 27, 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Delain Cowen of Rankin; his mother, Gara Nan " Pete" Cowen and stepfather Glendon Palidon Cowen of Capitan, NM; his; four sons, Richard Cowen of Houston, Skeeter Chadwick of Carlsbad, NM, Douglas Cobb of Greenwood, and Dean Cobb of Rankin; three daughters, Kristie Stephens of Lewisville, Sandy Boyd of Carlsbad, NM, and Jackie Jones of Arizona; three brothers, Sam R. Cowen of Fort Stockton, John R. Cowen of Jayton, Sherrod W. Cowen of Iraan, and; two sisters, Sandy Dawson of Hurley, NM, and Delaine Hall of Carlsbad, NM; 17 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
