McCAMEY: Jubentino Galan, 73 of McCamey, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 at his home.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey with Deacon Felix Segura officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mr. Galan was born on July 25, 1936 in Rotan, Texas. He had been a resident of McCamey for 23 years. He retired from Upton County as the cemetery caretaker. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Galan was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Galan; and two daughters, Kathy Delgado, and Gracie Galan.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Galan of McCamey; seven sons, Tino Galan, Jr. of Tulia, TX, Frank Galan of Huntsville, TX, Bobby Galan of Dallas, TX, Rudy Galan of Kentucky, Oscar Galan of Tulia, TX, Jesse Galan of McCamey, and John Galan of El Paso, TX; three daughters, Sophie Esparza, and Ruby Galan both of McCamey, and Maria Galan of Odessa; 57 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
