Juan Antonio “Anthony” Lopez
September 10, 1994 - August 15, 2022
It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of our father, uncle, and friend; Juan Antonio “Anthony” Lopez Jr, who unexpectedly passed away on the night of August 15, 2022.
Anthony was born in Odessa, TX to Juan Antonio Lopez Sr and Norma “Angie” Garcia Lopez on September 10, 1994. He grew up in Crane where he attended Crane ISD and also participated in football, basketball, and baseball allowing him to create lifelong friendships. His humor, personality, and permanent smile was a gift to everyone that knew him.
Anthony worked along side many friends and family that included brothers, cousins, uncles, and even his Dad during his career in the oilfield. All coworkers said that Anthony made work fun and his playful nature was appreciated on those rough oilfield days. It was nothing for him to liven up the day and smooth out the tattered edges of seemingly long days. There was never a shortage of laughs, jokes or the “occasional” picture or videos that captured the days adventures…many of which were made for all to see on social media. Anthony worked hard and loved even harder! He will always be remembered for the smile on his face and for being the life of the party.
Anthony is survived by his parents Juan Lopez of Crane, TX and Norma “Angie” Garcia Lopez of Midland, TX; his Grandparents Jose Luis and Dominga Lopez of Crane, TX and Tomas and Diana Garcia of Crane, TX; his siblings Nathan Lopez and wife Beyancca Lopez of Crane, TX; Martin Lopez and wife Nayeli Lopez of Crane, TX. Jonathan Lopez of Crane,TX; Natalie Lopez of Midland, TX. Children who he loved more than anything in the world, Issavier, Sophia, Damian, Emma, Nataley, Amberley, and JoDaniel; girlfriend Monica Grado. Numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends whom he made feel like family.
