Joyce Holt

Joyce Holt, 89, of McCamey, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Joyce was born on May 1, 1932, in Des Arc, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and had lived in McCamey for over 53 years. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church.

Joyce was blessed with many talents such as sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed the outdoors tending to her beautiful garden and watching the birds. Joyce loved to play cards and skip bo, however spending time with her family is what she cherished most.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mildred Keathley; her loving husband Curtis Holt; daughter Mickie Jones; grandson, Curtis Gibson; and two sisters, Verna Ruth Heflan, and Mary Fay Higdon.

Joyce is survived by two daughters, Marlene Beeson and her husband Tommy of Jarrell, TX, and Sonia Martin and her husband, Joe Keith of Odessa; son in law, Gary Jones of Odessa; five grandchildren, Brad Gibson, Tommie Skinner, Melissa Daugherty, Bryan Martin, and Chris Martin; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and 5 nieces.

The family will be receiving friends at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Mark McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Cemetery in Iraan.
